This non-profit organization is formed for charitable purposes within the meaning of a 501(c)3 that helps support and benefit the community of Seville in Volusia County. This organization shall perform the following charitable functions in support of the stated purpose.
- To help our youth by providing a meeting place for Seville’s Boy Scout, Cub Scout and Girl Scout Units. All Scout units will be exempt from paying any fees or charges.
- To provide a meeting place to other charitable organizations that the Executive Board approves of, that meet the stated charitable purposes of the Seville Village Improvement Association.
- To sponsor charitable community events that will help improve the community of Seville and its citizens.
- To provide charitable help for any citizens of Seville who are in need of emergency assistance, the method and manner to be set by the Executive Board.
- To provide and support charitable activities for the purpose of preserving the history and historic sites in the community of Seville.
- Other activities that help further the stated charitable purposes and are within the meaning of a 501(c)(3), that have the approval and support of the Executive Board and the general membership.
President: Joseph Prevatte
Joseph Prevatte was born and raised in the small town of Seville, Florida and is part of a family whose heritage in the community dates back to the mid-19th Century. Joseph joined the United States Army after graduating from Taylor Middle High School in 2003, where he has served as an All Source Intelligence Analyst. His assignments have taken him to many countries around the world including: Korea, The Philippines, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Germany. Joseph is currently stationed at MacDill Airforce Base in Tampa, Florida and splits his time serving as the Vice President of the Seville Village Improvement Association. While in the Army, he attended Strayer University, seeking his Bachelors of Science in Information Systems and Homeland Security and Cochise College where he sought an Associates of Science in Military Intelligence Operations. In his off-time, Joseph spends time with his girlfriend Erica, his Jack Russell Terrier Jetta, working on his farm and many various outdoor activities. Joseph hopes that his involvement in the Seville Village Improvement Association will bring the community closer together and show how rich the history is within the town of Seville.
Vice President: Mike Register
Michael Register moved to Seville in 1977 from SAN Antonio, Texas. He graduated from Taylor High School in 1983 and enrolled at the University of Florida that fall. Michael played football for the Gators earning an SEC Championship as a player in 1984. He graduated with a BS and Masters degree in Agricultural Engineering. After graduation he began his career at the St. John's River Water Management District. Today he serves as the Division Director of Water Supply Planning and Assessment. Michael is married to his high school sweetheart, Jana. They have one son, Brendan, who is a sophomore at the University of Florida.
Treasurer: Pam Neely
Pam Neely lives in Seville with her husband Jimmy and her two children Cameron and Brandon. She was raised in Seville and is part of the Cade family that first moved to Seville in the 1880’s. The Cade’s were one of the first fern growers in Seville starting their business in 1929. She attended Seville Elementary School from kindergarten through sixth grade and then attended T. Dewitt Taylor High School. She then moved after graduation to Jacksonville and attended the University of North Florida and graduated in December of 1992 with a double major in Marketing and Business Management. She was a sales representative for several different office equipment companies in Jacksonville and then moved into the transportation industry as a sales representative for Central Transport. After living in both Jacksonville and Saint Augustine, she and her husband decided to move their family back to Seville in 2005 where they both work for JRC Transportation as freight brokers. Pam spends the majority of her time outside of work watching her kids play volleyball, softball and baseball. She wanted to become involved with the Seville Village Improvement Association because she wants to bring back some of the activities that she enjoyed when she was a child growing up in Seville and help make our community a better place.
Secretary: Judy Raulerson
Judy Raulerson and her husband Danny moved to Seville in 1986. Judy lived in Georgia before moving to Florida. She retired from the St. Johns River Water Management District as a Senior Land Acquisition Agent. She enjoys the old fashion community spirit of Seville.
